The Solution
The engineer took out the original thermostatic mixing valves and extended both the hot water flow and return pipework.
To reduce disruption to the facilities, the team switched out the taps one floor at a time so that employees and visitors had access to the facilities at any point.
This approach ensured that the new thermostatic taps were installed according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
After the installation, all pipework was properly insulated to maintain thermal efficiency.
