A huge congratulations to two of our own, Jim Doyle and Dave Hayes, who took on the incredible Anfield Abseil at Liverpool Football Club in aid of the Standing Tall Foundation.

Descending the famous stands at Anfield is not for the faint-hearted, but Jim and Dave took it in their stride, harnesses on and smiles firmly in place from start to finish.

Smashing the Target

Their original fundraising target was £500. Thanks to the amazing generosity of friends, family, colleagues and supporters, they didn’t just reach it, they smashed it, raising an outstanding £1,687.

That is more than three times the original goal, and it will make a real difference to the Standing Tall Foundation and the people they support. Founded by Andy Reid MBE, the Foundation does brilliant work supporting veterans and communities across the North West.

Support from the Sidelines

The day wouldn’t have been the same without the fantastic support from the sidelines. Dave was cheered on by his wife and daughter, while Jim had his mum, sister and two daughters there to celebrate the occasion.

It was also great to see B-engineering colleagues Bec and Sarah, along with their sons Lucas and Damon, there to encourage them every step of the way.

Thank You

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, supported and helped make the day such a success. We’re incredibly proud of Jim and Dave for taking on this challenge and for raising such an amazing amount for a fantastic cause.

Well done, Jim and Dave!
